straightening hair tips!

Here is a tip for people who have thick flyaway hair that want to straighten it. Take any hair product and distribute it evenly through out your hair before you start to straighten it. After you are done your hair will be smooth and it stays straight longer! I always do that before I straighten it. It helps!

Cooked Play Dough recipe

Cooked Play Dough
I made this, and it is a great recipe!
Mix together to form a smooth paste:
2 teaspoons cream of tarter
1 cup plain white flour
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
food coloring

Put in a saucepan and cook over medium heat about 3 minutes until the dough comes away from the side of the pan and forms a ball.

Remove from heat and turnout on a sheet of waxed paper. When slightly cooled knead for 3 to 4 minutes.

You may add food coloring to the whole batch when making it or divide the batch into 2 to 4 sections and knead a different color into each.

Store in and air-tight container and it will keep virtually forever!

Fabric Necklace

Fabric Necklace

javascript:ExpandThumbnailImg('http://crafts.kaboose.com/swf/fabric_neck_03_FINAL_rotator_rdax_65.jpg');
Here is the website where you can see the picture of this craft.

What you'll need:An old piece of stretchy clothing (like stretch pants) that can be

cut into a strip approximately 24" by 2".
Large beads with holes wide enough for fabric to fit through.
Scissors
Needle nose pliers

How to make it:Cut fabric into a strip approximately 24" by 2". (See photo.)
Lay out beads in an appealing manner. (See photo.)
String beads onto fabric, using needle nose pliers to pull, if necessary.
Space beads according to your taste.
Tie ends together!

Tips:The more stretchy the fabric, the better for pulling the necklace over your head.
This piece may also be used as a cute headband with a coordinating outfit.
Many combinations of beads may be used and can even be changed out for different looks!

pin craft

Here is the website where you can see the picture.

http://crafts.kaboose.com/flower-pony-bead-pin.html

What you'll need:10 medium-large safety pins

One safety pin (without a coil)
100 pony beads in the following colors: 24 red, 12 yellow, 64 sky-blue
White towel for laying out beads
Grid included for flower pattern

How to make it:Lay beads out on towel.
String beads onto safety pins (see photo) as shown in the grid in this photo.
When all ten pins complete, place them on the coil-less safety pin in the order shown.

Tips:We added some green beads in one corner to simulate a flower stem.
You may choose to add a pretty ribbon that coordinates with the colors in the pin.
We found that picking up the beads with the pin point was easier than trying to place the beads onto the pin.

On Fashion

I am a creative person and I guess that is how I express myself. I know some people use fashion just to draw attention to themselves, but fashion can be used creatively. I want you to know that this is not the kind of fashion you may be thinking about. I love the Lord and I want to do all things for his glory and pleasure. I don't want to look good for people but I want to look good for God and God alone. Plus I love to do it!
